SAP Calculation | On Construction EPC | For new dwellings, conversions and extensions in England
All new buildings in England & Wales are required to have a standard assessment procedure (SAP) rating, which quantifies energy performance in terms of heating, lighting and ventilation. The calculation also comprises the fabric and structure of the building, the type and efficiency of thermal insulation in place, and any renewable technology installed. SAP calculations are used to demonstrate compliance with Part L1 of the Building Regulations. The need for a SAP calculation applies to any new dwelling, including a home conversion and it applies to some extensions. Our SAP calculations are carried out 'off plan' and we do not carry out site visits. We will ask you for plans, building specifications and construction notes so please gather this information for us. |
